I have taught in the departments of anthropology and art history at UC Berkeley.
I have designed and taught my own seminars in linguistic anthropology, anthropological methods, digital communication, and visual analysis. These courses foreground writing skills, close-reading, and research project design and methods.
I am prepared to teach courses as well in social and anthropological theory and the anthropology of Islam and the MENA region.
I have guided several undergraduate students through the graduate school application process; a student was recently awarded the 2020 Library Prize for Undergraduate Research at UC Berkeley for a paper I advised.
